Humboldt Redwoods State Park

The park has over 52,000 acres offering magnificent groves of old growth coast redwoods. The park offers 100 miles of hiking trails, fishing, canoeing and swimming in the Eel River, a visitor center with exhibits and bookstore, scenic drives, and seasonal interpretive programs such as campfires, nature walks, and Junior Ranger programs.
Hendy Woods State Park

Located in the middle of the Anderson Valley wine district, this 845-acre
park is warmer and less foggy than redwood parks along the coast. The
park is well known for a fallen redwood stump that was home for a man known
locally as the Hendy Woods Hermit. The 25 picnicking sites are located near the banks of the Navarro River in full view of Big Hendy Grove. 2 miles of nature trails.
Point Cabrillo Lighthouse

The Preserve occupies a spectacular headland thrusting out into the Pacific. As you start to walk down the access road, the Point Cabrillo Light Station is arrayed before you, made up of the Lighthouse itself and three original lightkeepers' houses and outbuildings. The lighthouse, which has been fully restored, is open from 11 AM to 4 PM, Saturdays and Sundays, from the first weekend of March through the last weekend in October.

Located approximately 20 miles south of Willits this, 1,822-acre lake provides a host of activities for outdoor enthusiasts.
